Robin Winters: native iOS engineering evidence

Review a shipped iPhone product, then inspect a separate native code example.

I’m Robin Winters, iOS/Full Stack Engineer at ShowFlex since 2024. My approved work covers Swift and SwiftUI, mobile architecture, MapKit event discovery, Firebase-backed data and interaction quality.

1. Start with the shipped product

ShowFlex on the iPhone App Store establishes that the product shipped. The reviewed version 17.0 describes map and calendar features. ShowFlex’s company attribution and my event-discovery work account provide the contribution context.

The engineering problem connects event information to native search, filtering, geocoding, navigation and detail interactions. A useful review follows one event from its source identity through the map or calendar to its detail view. Public release evidence and my contribution statements answer different questions.

2. Inspect an asynchronous state boundary

The separate SwiftUI search demo makes request ownership and selection inspectable. The controller rejects obsolete completions; the observable adapter separately checks whether its waiting task still owns the interface. The fixture deliberately lets a slow request complete after cancellation.

Seven controller tests and four executable adapter checks passed on macOS. An ARM64 iOS simulator build installed and launched. A partial native inspection confirmed the initial screen, a Strength search result and selection. View the actual simulator capture.

3. Read the source and reproduce the checks

SwiftUI adapter and view · Codeberg mirror. The README supplies commands and the recorded build limitation. This synthetic, assistant-supported example is separate from private ShowFlex source; its checks are not a product-wide test report.

For an engineering conversation, useful topics are adapter ownership, selection retention during refresh, interaction design and the connection between normalized event data and native discovery.
